Juventus Make Final Decision Ronaldo's Future
23 March, 2021
Serie A good giants Juventus have made a decision in Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been heavily associated with a return to Real Madrid.
The Portuguese was associated with a return to the Spanish capital after questions were raised about his future in Turin following side's shock UEFA Champions Group exit as a result of FC Porto.
Los Blancos supervisor Zinedine Zidane didn't help the cause with his comments about the five-period Ballon d'Or winner the other day, but Juventus CEO Sporting director Fabio Paratici has confirmed Ronaldo.
“We've a project that people started from last time, one game will not change our views or our strategy," he told Sky Italia.
"This range continues and we are incredibly pleased with what we’ve completed, so we’ll continue working to improve.
“This is Juve, we've Cristiano Ronaldo, the best player on the globe, and we’re holding on tight.”
Paratici also confirmed they have no plans to part techniques with supervisor Andrea Pirlo following the shock defeat to Benevento still left the side 10 points behind little league leaders Inter Milan.
"We weren't unsatisfied with the previous coaches, but there have been different reasons why we made a decision to change," he added.
'"ust just as a defeat won't change the task of a club, a victory won't either. Once a strategy has been chosen, we see it through.
"I don't believe the term 'transitional' exists at Juventus. We play every game looking to win, some move much better than others, but transition isn't an issue here. Every year is important, even though it doesn't necessarily have the same effects as before."
