Koeman Responds To Growing Pressure At Barca
21 September, 2021
FC Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has responded to growing pressure at the club after their big defeat to Bayern Munich last week.
The Catalan giants are yet to taste defeat in LaLiga after three games this season, and Koeman's future seemed a bit brighter before the clash with Bayern last Tuesday.
The Dutchman has now questioned why the narrative about his future has changed so quickly after the 3-0 defeat to Bavarians at the Camp Nou.
"There are exaggerated things. There are changes in the team, injuries and many young players," Koeman told reporters, as per Football Espana.
"The people that think about what we have, the people that know, surely say that it's a change with not enough time, but what counts is winning games.
"It cannot be that I have to answer before Bayern if I am going to renew for another year and now the next questions will be over whether I fear for my future.
"I have to put energy into what we have in our hands, prepare the team to win the game."
The Catalan giants resume LaLiga action on Monday evening, with a clash against Granada at the Camp Nou.
