Barca Make Big Fati Decision?
With shock rumours recently suggesting that Barcelona could lose Ansu Fati to Manchester United, the Spanish giants have reportedly made a big decision regarding their new No. 10.

It was said last week that the Catalan club was in a contract dispute with the 18-year-old African-born winger.

From the player's side, his representatives argued that his deal in Spain was set to expire in 2022, while Barcelona insisted he was under contract until 2024.

Per the Daily Mirror, the Spanish side believed that, although his deal does technically run out next year, they had the option to unilaterally extend the terms of his contract by a further two years.

Fati was subsequently linked with English giants United, although his agent Jorge Mendes also reportedly tried entering into talks with Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola, however, is said to have become suspicious that Mendes was only using City as bait to force Barcelona to offer their No. 10 a new deal.

According to football365, which cites other publications across Europe, the Blaugrana are now set to tie the young Spain international to a new contract, which would bump him up into a higher pay bracket.
