Napoli finied the weekend top of the Serie A standings after defeating Cagliari 2-0 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday night.

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen opened the scoring for the hosts with his fourth goal of the season in the 11th minute.

Lorenzo Insigne made sure of the points in the 57th minute after converting a penalty, as the Naples outfit moved two points clear at the summit of the standings.

Juventus 3-2 Sampdoria

Juventus made it back-to-back wins in Serie A after defeating Sampdoria 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

Paulo Dybala, Leonardo Bonucci and Manuel Locatelli got the goals for the visitors.

Maya Yoshida and Antonio Candreva pulled goals back for the visitors, but Juve held on for the victory.

Laizo 3-2 AS Roma

Jose Mourinho was unable to taste victory in his first Rome derby after suffering 3-2 to defeat to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

Sergej Milinković-Savić, former Roma star Pedro and Felipe Anderson got the goals for Lazio, while Ibanez and Jordan Veretout netted for Mourinho's men.

AC Milan extended their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Spezia on Saturday afternoon.

Daniel Maldini, the son of club legend Paolo, opened the scoring on his first start for the club, before Daniele Verde equalised for the home side on 80 minutes.

Milan walked away with the spoils after Brahim Diaz bagged the winning goal in the 86th minute.

Inter Milan 2-2 Hellas Verona

Inter Milan missed the chance to make it three straight wins in Serie A after playing to a 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.

Ruslan Malinovskiy and Rafael Tolói cancelled out Lautaro Martinez's opener, but Edin Dzeko rescued a point for the defending champions in the 71st minute.
