African Star Knocked On My Door With 10 Women
09 June, 2020
With El Hadji Diouf being known for controversy during his time at Liverpool, one of is own former teammates has now revealed that the two-time African Footballer of the Year was once waiting outside his door with 10 women at 2am each morning.
The retired striker secured himself a proceed to the Reds after starring for Senegal at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
However, few have positive memories of his stint at Anfield, where he fell out with club legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, amongst others.
His former teammate Jon Otsemobor has recalled how Diouf once knocked on his door with about 10 women at 2am each morning, just hours before an exercise session.
"Diouf was outside. 'Sem, open the entranceway,'" the former fullback recalled in a speak to Liverpool Echo.
"When a mature pro like this approaches you, you are feeling obliged.
"I was still a lad and I was just disappointed thinking he took my friendship and used it. I felt at the time, when I went in to the dressing room, you can't just use me like this, I'm your friend.
"If he needed a spot to stay and all that, fine, but I'm not hosting parties for all different persons who were flying into the country every weekend!"
