Barca President Makes Messi Admission

With Lionel Messi entering the final 12 months of his current deal at Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona’s president has been a remarkable admission regarding the Argentine forward’s future.
Prior to the commencement of the 2021/22 season, the world was shocked when it found out that a then-out-of-contract Messi would not be signed a new contract at Barcelona.

Now Laporta seems to be determined to see the Argentine return to Barca to play out the remaining years of his career. "I feel indebted to Leo Messi. I’d love the end of his career to be at Barcelona with a standing ovation in every stadium. I think we can make it happen," Laporta told reporters, as per Spanish reporter Toni Juanmartí.
"That’s our aspiration, my intention with Leo is clear."
In recent days, the appetite to bring back the club’s all-time leading goalscorer seems to have grown with Laporta himself insisting that Messi’s career in Catalonia is not over.
