Borussia Dortmund moved to within three points of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich after defeating Hoffenheim 3-2 on Saturday evening.

Dortmund took the lead after just six minutes as Erling Haaland finished off a well-worked passing move for his 17th goal of the season.

However, the hosts managed to get back on level terms on the stroke of halftime courtesy of a strike from Andrej Kramaric.

Marco Reus and an own goal from David Raum put Dortmund 3-1 ahead, while while Georginio Rutter's strike proved to be a consolation for Hoffenheim.

Bottom-placed Greuther Furth gave their survival hopes a boost with a 2-1 triumph over Mainz on Saturday afternoon.

Jeremy Dudziak and Stefan Bell's own goal put Furth into a two-goal lead, while Karim Onisiwo bagged a late consolation for Mainz in second-half stoppage time.
