Haaland Linked With Shock €197m Move
14 March, 2023
Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has been linked with a massive €197 million (R3.8 billion) move to another top club in Europe.
According to RMC Sport, French giants Paris Saint-Germain are heavily interested in moving for the 22-year-old following their UEFA Champions League exit.
The Ligue 1 champions crashed out of Europe last week at the hands of Bayern Munich, a disappointment that could be met with consequences for some of the team's current players. Neymar and Lionel Messi are among those linked with departures ahead of June, with the Argentine's contract in Paris expiring at the end of the season. The Brazilian, meanwhile, still has time before his deal at PSG runs out but is currently seen as a player who has become surplus to requirements.
PSG are therefore believed to be willing to spend a staggering €197 million on Haaland, who has already scored 34 goals in all competitions in this campaign so far.
The ex-Borussia Dortmund forward had been linked with the French giants before he chose to join City, the club his dad once played for in England.
