Lewandowski Double Gets Bayern Back On Track
Bayern Munich 4-0 Union Berlin
Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the log to seven points after hammering Union Berlin 4-0 at Allianz Arena.

Kingsley Coman got the opener for the Bavarians in the 16th minute, Tanguy Nianzou doubled their lead nine minutes later, while Lewandowski made it 3-0 on the stroke of halftime.

Lewandowski did put the game beyond Union with the fourth goal early in the second stanza to complete his brace.

Hertha Berlin 3-0 Hoffenheim
Hertha Berlin boosted their chances of surviving relegation after thrashing Hoffenheim 3-0 at Olympiastadion. Niklas Stark broke the deadlock for Hertha six minutes before the half-time break, Ishak Belfodil doubled their lead just after the hour-mark and Lucas Tousart put the game to bed 16 minutes before time.

Stuttgart 3-2 Augsburg
Stuttgart moved out of the relegation zone after coming from behind twice to edge Augsburg in a five-goal thriller at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Andre Hahn gave the visitors an early and although Stuttgart levelled matters on the stroke of half-time through Waldemar Anton, they were behind again a minute later after Michael Gregoritsch restored the lead for Augsburg.

However, Omar Marmoush equalised again for the hosts 11 minutes before time and Tiago Tomas snatched snatched the winner with five minutes remaining.

Mainz 4-0 Arminia Bielefeld
Mainz condemned Arminia Bielefeld in the relegation zone after thumping them 4-0 courtesy of a brace by Jonathan Burkardt at Mewa Arena.

Mainz had a dream start after Burkardt gave them the lead within the first minute and Moussa Niakhate thought he had doubled their lead in the 16th minute after finding the back of the net but his goal was chalked off by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

However, Niakhate eventually gave the hosts a two-goal cushion in the 65th minute from the penalty spot, Burkardt made it 3-0 and completed his brace 15 minutes before time also from the spot-kick and Marcus Ingvartsen completed the rout four minutes with another penalty goal.

Greuther Furth 0-0 Freiburg
Freiburg missed the chance to move up to third on the table after they were held to a goalless draw by bottom side Greuther Furth at Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer.

Roland Sallai came close to giving Freiburg an early lead with a cracking strike that was parried into the post by goalkeeper Andreas Linde and Janik Haberer had the best chance for the visitors in the second stanza after he rattled the crossbar with a smashing strike.
