Manchester City's 12-game winning run in the Premier League came to an end after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton on Saturday evening.
Man City made only one change to the side that edged Chelsea the last time out, with Ruben Dias replacing John Stones.
The Saints got off to a perfect start after Kyle Walker-Peters gave them the lead in the seventh minute with a sweet volley from the outside of his boot in the box.
The Citizens were working their way back into the game but they lacked the final pass upfront and were relieved in the 23rd minute after Armando Broja found the back of the net for Southampton, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
City's biggest opportunity fell for Sterling just before the halftime break after receiving a square pass from Foden in the six-yard box but his effort was saved by shot-stopper Fraser Forster. With the game opening up in the early stages of the second stanza, Rodri came close to finding the equaliser for City on the hour-mark with a curling strike from the edge of the box that came off the bar.
Laporte eventually levelled matters for the Citizens five minutes later with a header at the back post after a cross by Kevin De Bruyne.
City were holding Ralph Hasenhuttl's men in their own half and De Bruyne came close to giving the visitors the lead in the last 19 minutes with a curling strike that hit the post.
That proved to be the final big chance for the champions as the Saints held on for the point, ending City's winning run in the process.

Manchester United moved into the top four of the Premier League after snatched a 1-0 win against West Ham United on Saturday evening.
Ralf Rangnick made one change from the win over Brentford, as Harry Maguire was restored the line-up in place of Victor Lindelof who was given time off after break in at his family house.
The game was played at a lively pace in the first half, but clear-cut chances were hard to come by as the hosts were let down by their decision-making in the final third.
The only real taking point of the first half came in the final 10 minutes when Cristiano Ronaldo went down in the box under the challenge of Kurt Zouma, but the referee waved away the appeals.
The final stages of the first half did not fare any better as both David de Gea and Alphonse Areola barely had a save to make in the opening 45 minutes.
However, that changed in the second half as Areola was called into action three minutes after the break to keep out a stinging effort from Fred on the edge of the box.
Chances continued to fall the for United as Elanga went for close just before the hour mark with a volley that sailed just wide of the upright from Diogo Dalot's cross.
West Ham nearly snatched the winner with four minutes left on the clock when Tomas Soucek got on the end of a corner but sent his header inches wide.
With the game seemingly headed for a draw, the hosts popped up with the winning goal in the 93rd minute when Martial played in Edinson Cavani sent a cross to the far post for Rashford to slot home.
