Official: Man Utd Announce High-Profile Departure

Manchester United have confirmed the departure of one of their highest-paid players in this January window.

France international Anthony Martial has left the Red Devils to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the season, after the clubs agreed a deal for his temporary move on Monday night.

The 26-year-old has endured a difficult time in England over the past year and a half, having ended the 2020/21 campaign with just seven goals across all competitions   and having struck just once so far this season. Fans were encouraged by his short cameo in United's 1-0 win over West Ham United this past weekend, although his impact in that game seems to have not changed his mind on leaving the club in this window.

Earlier this month, Martial was believed to have communicated to interim boss Ralf Rangnick that he wishes to depart in order to secure regular football, which he is likely to now find in LaLiga.
